These over-sized tubes were
custom manufactured to replace the no longer available NEPT tubes when they shut down in 2014. The ID is sized so builders would still be able to use tooling made by Wolter, SLD and others. Since then, NEPT assets were purchased by employees and production resumed in 2015.
When
NEPT ceased production, convolute tube users were left scrambling to find a replacement. Much to their surprise, our less expensive spiral tubes that they had been reluctant to try for years performed the same. In addition, our tubes are made with consistent tolerances from batch to batch.
Nozzled, end burners, core burners, BP, all worked flawlessly with proper support. (Some
whistle fuels will need to be pressed below 9,000 lb due to expansion after the support is removed.)
