Our new StratoLauncher® IV is a significant upgrade with this easy to use powerful compact metal water rocket launcher featuring a 125 PSI safety release valve to prevent exploding bottles while pressurizing. (Safety valve can be swapped out with one that you purchase locally, which has a lower PSI rating if you so desire. This is a standard 1/4″ NPT thread.)

This kit includes our Gen 4 StratoLauncher + StratoFins® (screw-on water rocket fins), brake lever release system, and collapsible water fill funnel.
StratoLauncher IV will enable you to propel a 2 liter plastic (PET) soda pop bottle over 350 ft. into the sky using only water and compressed air from a bicycle pump, a foot pump, scuba tank, or an air compressor.
Fuel (water and air) is essentially free and readily available allowing countless launches without additional expense.
StratoLauncher IV supports most .5L, 1L, 1.25L, 2L liter plastic (PET) bottles @ air pressures as low as 15 PSI up to 120 PSI.
After pumping up the bottle to the PSI of your choice, you control when the launch occurs by squeezing the black brake lever and releasing the lock at the end of the cable from a safe distance of 10 ft. and out of the splash zone..
No further adjustments are required regardless if you use our StratoFins® or your own homemade rocket or FTC (Fluorescent Tube Cover) rocket thanks to the screw-on nozzle..
Employing a nozzle makes this a universal launcher for most any style water rocket and eliminates problems such as bottles not fitting over a PVC launch tube, O-rings wearing out, or accidental launches due to falling trigger collars.
The restricted nozzle facilitates lift offs that are 3 – 6 times slower (depending on PSI) than typical water rocket launchers enabling you to see the blast off and yet the nozzle rocket will fly equal to or higher in altitude.
Also, the nozzle requires only 1 cup of water per launch for optimum performance although you are free to experiment with greater amounts.
The score mark on the stainless steel tube indicates the optimum water level when the rocket is seated on the StratoLauncher IV Deluxe, but you can exceed this level.
StratoLauncher IV ships unassembled with a QR code on the box label that you can scan with your smartphone to view a PDF containing assembly instructions, launch procedures, upgrade kits, videos, and future accessories.

StratoLauncher IV comes in 3 models: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. All of them are fully upgradeable, expandable, and can be accessorized into a complete launching system.

StratoFins®
will guide your rocket to lofty heights with straight flights instead of tumbling through the air without fins.
StratoFins®
are made of durable plastic and screw-on to a 2 liter soda bottle or smaller.
The StratoFins® kit includes 1 attachment ring and 3 fins along with an instruction sheet that provides information for creating a nose cone and several launching tips.
Assemble StratoFins® by sliding each fin down a separate slot on the attachment ring beginning from the top. With all fins in place screw the attachment ring onto a soda bottle until snug.
This water rocket can be launched with or without a parachute attached since this configuration does not nose dive, but instead tumbles gently back to the ground provided the nose cone is not permanently attached.
